What is Green technology???

It refers to the development and application of products, equipment and systems for the preservation of the environment and the natural environment and minimize or mitigate the negative impacts of human activities . Green technology refers to products, equipment , or systems that meet the following criteria : 

•  It minimizing negative environmental impact ;

•  it has the release of Green House Gas ( GHG ) low or zero ;

• it is safe to use and provides a healthy environment and a better life for all living things ;

•  Conserve energy and natural resources ;

• and Promote resource - renewable resources .

• Environment - Conservation and minimize environmental impact 

• Economy - Improving economic development through the use of technology ; and

• Social - Improving the quality of life for all . 

Objectives

 • To reduce the rate of growth of energy consumption while enhancing economic development ; 

• To assist in the Green Technology industry growth and enhance its contribution to the national economy ; 

• To increase the capacity for innovation in green technology development and increase competitiveness in Green Technology in the arena; 

• To ensure sustainable development and preserve the environment for future generations ; and 

• To increase public education and awareness on Green Technology and encourage the widespread adoption of Green Technology .
